Unicorn Party Theme Ideas

If you're looking for the perfect theme for your kid's next birthday bash, look no further than the magical world of unicorns! 🦄

According to a recent search for popular children's birthday party themes for 2024, the number one result was a unicorn party theme. And it's easy to see why: unicorns are colorful, cute, and full of fun!

In this blog post, I'll share with you some of the best ideas for throwing a unicorn-themed party that will make your little one feel like they're in a fairy tale. From invitations and decorations to games and treats, I've got you covered with everything you need to make your party a success.

Let's get started!

First, let's talk about games. You can't go wrong with some classic party games like pin the tail on the unicorn, unicorn ring toss, or unicorn piñata. These are easy to set up and fun for kids of all ages. You can also make your own unicorn horns out of paper cones and decorate them with stickers, glitter, and ribbons. Then, have a contest to see who can make the most creative or realistic horn.

Another fun game is to have a unicorn scavenger hunt. Hide some unicorn-themed items around the house or yard, such as plush toys, stickers, candy, or books. Give each child a list of clues and a basket to collect their findings. The first one to find all the items wins a prize. You can also make this a team game and have the kids work together to solve the clues.

For treats, you can't go wrong with anything rainbow-colored or sparkly. Think cupcakes with rainbow frosting, cookies with sprinkles, or cake pops with edible glitter. You can also make some unicorn-shaped treats, such as cookies, sandwiches, or crispy rice treats.  (Brand name cereal is trademarked, so I can't use the name.) Just use a cookie cutter or a knife to cut out the shapes and decorate them with icing, candy, or chocolate.

Another idea is to make some unicorn popcorn. This is a simple and delicious snack that kids will love. All you need is some popcorn, white chocolate chips, food coloring, and sprinkles. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and divide it into smaller bowls. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and stir well. Drizzle the colored chocolate over the popcorn and toss to coat. Sprinkle some sprinkles on top and let it cool. You can also put the popcorn in individual bags or cups and tie them with ribbons.

Don't forget to serve some drinks as well. You can make some unicorn punch by mixing lemonade, sprite, and sherbet ice cream. Add some food coloring to make it more colorful and some fruit slices for garnish. You can also serve some milkshakes or smoothies with whipped cream and sprinkles on top.

There you have it! Some magical ideas for what games and treats to serve for a unicorn birthday party that will make your guests feel like they're in a fairy tale. I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating your little one's special day!

 Unicorn Themed Girls Birthday Party

According to several blogs I've researched, a Unicorn party theme for little girls is the "in" thing for 2023. Frankly, I think it's been the "in" theme for several years. Why? Unicorns - especially little cute ones - are adorable. I've seen illustrations of "grown" Unicorns done wonderfully. So, if this doesn't float your boat, there are plenty of visually appealing illustration to choose from.
