How to Own Original Art on the Cheap

Hint: Art replicated on merchandise

Most of my original artwork is gone now. My original pieces were either sold or given as a gift to an admirer. Some were commissioned and some were requested by family members. No matter how my art landed in someone's home above the fireplace or on a wall, I'm flattered and greatly humbled. What greater form of flattery, eh? But, I have to thank God for giving me this artistic talent. It's not solely mine. It is a talent to share.

As I recently said, "I want people to be able to own art without having to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars."

Anyway, thankfully, I took photos of probably 95% of everything I've ever painted or drawn, and I utilize the images for posters and cards and mugs as well as other products that are appropriate for a specific piece. This way, I can ensure that those original pieces that are now somewhere else can be enjoyed by more than one person. Also, it's a very inexpensive way to own a replica of an original. After all, isn't the Mona Lisa now a poster?

I've collected a few links some of the art I sell in my Zazzle store, Visages along with other's I really like and would enjoy having.

Take a look:

I created this just to see if I could. After showing it, it was immediately snatched up. Acrylic paint on canvas.

I painted this cute little Chickadee as a Christmas card for my brother. He said it is proudly displayed on his refrigerator.

I painted this for a friend who loves hunting for spiney lobsters. Acrylic paint on canvas.

This little darling was also created as a Christmas card. Originally in watercolor, the recipient loved it so much that she framed the card.

These are only a few examples of the type of art you can find on Zazzle. Enjoy browsing to find that perfect piece you've been dying for!
