Back to School Supplies
When thinking about school supplies, it never occurred to me to think about supplies for teachers, classroom decor, or supplies for college students. When I think back-to-school, I'm thinking about my 15-year-old grandson and what he might need. On the other hand, his mother considers teachers, classrooms and students in need of help. I think today's parents are a little more informed than us parents of kids from the 80s.
My daughter is a teacher of seventh graders. I was surprised at what she brought to the classroom from home in order to make her classroom appear less sanitized. She wanted a comfortable environment for her kids.
What brought all of this on? I went searching on Zazzle for unique, personalized gifts to post and ran across their back-to-school category. There, I found a plethora of stuff. Apparel and accessories along with classroom decor, teachers supplies, and college and dorm room essentials. Well, I was blown away. I never considered designing anything for back-to-school. Frankly, between illustrating my next book, blogging and tending to my website, Visages Gift Store, I don't have much time, so I'll leave it to those who do.
