This beautiful hiking trail, Alum Cave, leads to the top of Mt. LeConte in the Great Smoky Mountains. Once this trail finally levels out and you reach this awesome forest canopy of spruce-fir trees, you know you've almost made it to the top! And the top of Mt LeConte is in itself an awesome reward for a strenuous hike. John Muir's quote 'In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks' is included, and is so true!
